I've always found it impressive to drop such a significant stadium right in the heart of the Bronx.
Interior first impressions
The crew is always well organized and keeps the flow of people inside the stadium moving. The interior design looks nice. The field was in perfect condition.
Game day atmosphere
Yankees fans are always full of pride and talk about all of the great things they think their team will do at the game. People are engaged in the pre-game festivities.
Food & beverage
Pretty much your average stadium food with overpriced menu items (as to be expected)
Monument Park in center field is something really special.
You have plenty of food courts to sit at, or Monument Park to see, or you can hang in your seat and watch warm-ups. I had the chance to watch the Old Timers game and see Mariano Rivera pitch again. That was something special, but not a common occurrence.
Tickets were fairly priced for second deck left field seating. Food is astronomically priced.
As I said, Yankees fans have lots of pride. Can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what jersey you're wearing.
It is a very nice stadium with a lot of history tied to it as well as its predecessor. I enjoy my time going to Yankee Stadium. The first time you walk in is amazing, after that it's just another ballpark.
I prefer to take public transportation to the stadium because driving is hell. The D train drops you in very close proximity.
The Bronx is a mess.
Home team fans
Very passionate and aren't scared to hide it.
Definitely worth seeing.
