Arm Strength/Power
Nice, live arm that you like to see. Can put some real zip on it when he has to.
Short Accuracy (1-10 yds)
Good accuracy in the quick game.
Imtermediate Accuracy (10-20 yds)
Displays good touch, timing and accuracy to complete balls at the second level.
Long Accuracy (20+ yds)
Accuracy falters a bit on deep shots, he just kinda throws it up and lets his big, tall WR's go make a play on it rather than dropping it in a bucket in stride.
Pocket Presence
Good pocket presence, can get a little antsy in the pocket when he has too much time back there.
Mobility
Good enough mobility, not the fleetest of foot but can escape pressure effectively.
Vision
One of my favorite parts about him, he seems to really know the offense inside and out, almost always making the right decision with where to throw the ball.
Mechanics
Nice quick, clean release.
Durability
Had hand surgery in 2019, but nothing else to speak of.
Leadership
Coaches say he's grown a lot in this area.
Game Management
Really goo at managing the game, good situational awareness.
Decision-Making
Not always sterling, he tries to force it in there at times. Will only make him look worse in the NFL where the windows are smaller.
Size
Listed at 6'3 210lbs.
Speed
Mobile, but not very fast in a straight line. 4.7ish would be my guess.
Play-Making Ability
Another strength of his, he's very good at making plays when things break down.
Productivity
Having a great 2020 season so far, completing 75% of his passes, thrown for 22 TD's and 2 INT's through 5 games. Addes 3 TD's on the ground to, showing his mobility.
Intangibles
Seems like a smart, confident kid.
Character
Nothing bad that I can find on him, other than a rumored fight in high school that caused him to transfer schools.
Consistency
Went from being very inconsistent i previous seasons, he really took off and became remarkably consistent in 2020.
Strengths
Good arm, good accuracy, good mobility, great playmaking ability, great vision to deliver the ball where it needs to go.
Weaknesses
Not a ton of weaknesses to speak of in 2020, but the level of competition isn't good either. BYU had a very easy schedule this year, but he's lit it up like you'd want to see him do.
Overall Analysis
I like him, I think he's pretty darn good. He's got a lot of good traits that make good QB's, and not a whole lot of weaknesses which is also nice. I think he's a potential late-1st or 2nd round QB.
