Strengths
Bullard has sound technique and plays with hustle. Equally good against the run and pass. Can hold the point against single blockers and also adept at shedding blocks and pursuing the play.
Weaknesses
Might be a bit of a tweener. Doesn't dominate in any area of the game. Can get pushed off the line. Doesn't have dominating pass rush ability
Overall Analysis
Despite his less than ideal height Bullard's best fit looks to be as a 3-4 defensive end, or possibly a 4-3 strong side end, whose job is to occupy blockers and hold his position. With some added strength and a year or two of working with an NFL coaching staff Bullard could develop into the lunch pail workman like defensive end that 3-4 teams seek, who does the dirty work each game but rarely gets the glory.
