Player Scouting Report
Players Scouting Reviewer :
Position :Tight End [TE]
Has good playing speed
Extends his hands and doesn't let the ball reach his body.
Finds the open spaces on zones and runs sharp routes
Isn't a strength guy
Gets to the second level and times his cut blocks well.
Good athletic skills
Run After Catch
Really excels here. Difficult to bring down, maintains balance and keeps feet moving.
Big Play Ability
Didn't get too many opportunities but made the most of them.
Gets downfield; runs crisp routes, extends his arms to catch the ball before it gets to him; times his jumps well; willing blocker who displays good technique; plays with great motor and balance, difficult to bring down after the catch; good awareness of defensive sets, finds open spaces in zones. Catches and protects the ball in traffic.
Isn't particularly strong and might lack the top level speed to be a deep threat in the NFL. Needs to improve his blocking technique; is sloppy with the ball after catching it. Didn't produce as much as one would expect an athlete of his caliber to. Still very raw and his game needs overall refinement.
Everett is a good athlete that still needs to become a complete football player. The skill set is there and he shows some signs of great play, but he is still very rough around the edges and at least a year away from being ready to start. Still he can help as a second, pass catching, tight end while he refines his game, before eventually challenging for a starting role.
