Run Blocking
6.20
From what I have seen he does not drive through his blocks. He gets in the way rather than drive the defender back.
Pass Blocking
7.00
He gets decent depth on his drop bocks when he pass blocks and keeps himself square but rather than deliver a strong punch he accepts the defender into his body.
Impact Blocking
5.50
Far too often he overreaches in his pass sets and it causes him to have little impact with his hands. The defenders are usually delivering the blow. He needs to learn to be more aggressive as he is far too passive.
Footwork
6.40
It's not horrible footwork but he needs to get more depth in his pass sets as he is often short stepping and it causes defenders to get around the edge. During run blocks, he needs to use better footwork driving with the balls of his feet rather than being flat-footed.
Strength
5.80
He does not move DE or DT off the line of scrimmage rather he stays engaged long enough with his blocks. Not a very impactful blocker just someone who does his job.
Toughness
5.00
I can not judge as I have not met him.
Agility
5.80
He is more athletic than most people some expect I've seen him get out of his stance quickly. That doesn't mean he is a great athlete though just one with deceptive quickness.
Size
7.50
He is 6'5 and around 315 which is solid size. But his arm length may be a problem at OT.
Durability
7.00
He had a head injury that caused him to miss a game or 2 in 2019.
Character
5.00
I can not judge as I have not met him.
Technique
6.50
It can use some work especially when he dropping on pass sets, Nothing major he just needs to cover more ground with his footwork and engage rather than be engaged during each block.
Intangibles
5.50
He can be an average player at the next level.
Consistency
7.00
This is what will make or break him at the next level is whether he can sustain blocks long enough and give you consistent prodution.
Strengths
Experience and solid technique are some of his strengths. He does not wow you with athleticism but can move better than initially anticipated.
Weaknesses
He lacks impact on his blocks and accepts the defenders to his body. In pass sets, he can at times misstep causing him to be beaten on the edge. I don't think he is a very powerful blocker and that will be problematic when creating holes for the running back.
Overall Analysis
He is just an ok player with solid technique and enough athleticism. I project him to be more of a backup. He does not wow you with ay one trait but he is solid. I believe he can play tackle and guard and won't be great in either as a guard he will lack power and impact blocking and as a tackle, he will get beat by elite defenders with length and athletism.
