Bernardo isn't the quickest player but he makes up for it through his quick bursts of acceleration and his great close control dribbling.
His dribbling can be truly spectacular sometimes because of his wonderful ability to always keep the ball under close control.
His playmaking has really improved at Man. City, he's always had the vision but now he accurately plays long passes and through balls in between the lines.
His passing style is very Messiesquewith how he cuts in from the right-hand side on to his left foot and looks for diagonal passes.
For a little midfielder, Bernardo has great balance and can easily control the ball under pressure from much bigger defenders and midfielders.
This is probably his weakest quality since he's only 5'6''. He doesn't have a great jumping ability either so he rarely wins headers in the midfield.
Probably his best quality. His ability to see certain runs from teammates and pick out some of them with his passes is truly remarkable.
He often finds himself in great pockets of space in between the opposition midfield and defense. Due to his wonderful movement, he is able to find and pick out these half-spaces.
He isn't known to be an aggressive player, but Pep Guardiola has turned him into a pressing machine when City are trying to win the ball back.
Bernardo's was never really known for his shooting ability but he can hit some wonderful curling efforts with his left foot. I rated him quite low though because he's very one-footed and rarely uses his right foot to shoot because he's not that good with it.
Bernardo was never really a player to track back on defensive transitions. But Pep has transformed him into a high pressing workhorse type midfielder when City are out of possession.
Bernardo has really improved this aspect working under Guardiola. His stamina and fitness levels have increased tremendously, and now he has become a pressing machine who works non stop to win the ball back when City lose possession.
Bernardo Silva is one of those players that can produce magic with the ball at his feet. Be it through his wonderful control, his mesmerizing dribbling, or his wonderful left-footed curlers.
His close control, dribbling ability, vision, passing ability, his movement and understanding of the game.
His overall sprint speed, aerial play, defensive contribution, and his right-footed shooting ability.
Bernardo is a talented young player who has improved tremendously under Pep Guardiola. His dribbling, close control, and passing ability are already world class. He has already improved his defensive contribution through his improvement in pressing off the ball. Now if he can work on improving some of his other weaknesses such as his finishing ability, and being more consistent, he can become a world-class midfielder in the next few years.
