Jaguars sign Free Agent Jamaal Charles to stabilize backfield

09 Oct, 2018

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been hit hard by injuries at running back. The Jaguars hope to stem that issue by signing free agent Jamaal Charles to a one-year deal.

The move comes after No. 3 running back Corey Gran was placed on injured reserve with an injury to his left foot. Grant has been carriying the load for the team as starter Leonard Fournette is battling a hamstrong injury and T.J. Yeldon is slowed by a nagging ankle injury.

Charles spent nine years with the Kansas City Chiefs before departing for Denver last year. He is a four-time Pro Bowl selection and has amassed 7,556 yards rushing and 44 touchdowns, plus 2,586 yards receiving and 20 more scores over his career.
