Introducing you to a whole new way to be a FANalyst!

What is Fanteractive? Simply put, it's Sports ... but according to you!

While most traditional media outlets tell you what happened in the game, provide statistics, and share the opinions of their “experts”, Fanteractive has taken a different perspective. Fanteractive is about you, the fans, telling your story from a fan’s perspective. We here at Fanteractive believe that fans are just as much, if not more, of the experts on their favorite teams than many of the professionals of the industry with their “tell it like it is” assessments.. (We're all fans, aren't we?)

  • How did your favorite team do last night? Which players earned an “A+” from you for their performance?

  • Did their super-star player give you an A+ performance - or was it more of a C+?

  • What do you think of that hot-shot draft prospect? Beyond the hype, can he really play?

Fans have always had valuable input to the sports industry, but have lacked a mechanism to express what they know. Anyone can post to Twitter or Facebook, but those messages are often quickly lost in the noise and disappear forever!

In order to combat this, Fanteractive gives you an entire ecosystem to show what you know. It was developed by sports industry executives who realized that fans know more than most insiders give them credit for, and they deserve a place to share what they know without getting lost in the noise. With a wide range of tools, you are able to create team-, game-, player- and venue-oriented reports to share your opinions with the community and build your reputation as a loyal fan manager - “Fanager” for short. Like the original Bleacher Report or SB Nation, fans can also contribute articles to the Fanteractive community.

Many die-hard fans played the same sports that we watch on TV or elsewhere. Whether it be recreational, high school, college, or even the pros, many fans have more experience in sports than the traditional media recognizes. But, the skills that make you great on the field can be very different than the skills that make you a great evaluator. That's where Fanteractive comes in!

The Fanteractive fan “toolkit” gives you the tools you need to share your expert analysis on your favorite teams and be able to compare your opinions with others. When you give a team a “B+” rating on their season, we can now quantify that and benchmark that against others. When you submit a scouting report on a quarterback and give him an “85” rating for arm strength, we can see exactly how you think that player compares to others you reviewed. Each Fanteractive module provides you with standard forms to benchmark teams and allow other fans to easily compare their thoughts and expectations with yours.

Who are the most knowledgeable fans? You will easily be able to figure that out too! Each report, analysis, rating, etc. is tied to your profile where others can see each and every one of your analyses. Everything you do on Fanteractive is compiled and contributes to giving you a score of your own called our Fan Quotient (Thats an FQ, but an F U!)! Your FQ score together with your experience in sports as a player, coach or other role and your overall participation in the Fanteractive community also helps you move up our Fan Tier rating system. Everyone starts off as a SPECTATOR, but only a few will ever reach the EXPERT tier. Earn your first promotion with as few as 10 game, player or team analyses

It really is SPORTS... ACCORDING TO YOU! Are you ready to start your own “Hall of Fame” career?

Here's a brief summary on how to use some of the top features on Fanteractive. All Fanteractive tools let you go as in-depth as you want to, so you can answer what you know and leave out whatever you don’t.

Season Outlook (Pre-Season)

It's pre-season time. The hopes are high for the season; everyone starts off 0-0. But, what do we really expect from the team this season? Will they contend for a championship this season? Or, should we be happy if they can make it to .500? Fanteractive's Season Outlook lets you set the expectations for the final record of the season. You can also grade the team on a variety of categories to back up what you say about their record. Do they have the pitching to go the distance? Is the defense strong enough? What about the coaching and front office - do they have the right people calling the shots?

Season Outlook allows you to break down the various position groups, the strengths and weaknesses, predict how many wins will they finish with, grade the coaching staff and more! This is where you set the expectations for the season! The Season Outlook gives you something to go back to at the end of the season and see exactly how well the team lived up to your expectations! Start your Season Outlook approximately 30 days before Opening Day!

Season Report Card (Post-Season)

So, the season is over - how did your team do? Did they live up to your expectations? Who would you name the team MVP on the season? What did they do well and what was their downfall? Fanteractive's Season Report Card provides a standard Report Card template so that you can grade the team on a variety of categories. This allows you and other Fanagers to easily compare your thoughts on the season. You can also compare the season’s results to the initial expectations and hold each other accountable for what you said months in advance!

The Predicted-vs.-Actual (PVA) Fanalyzer

Whether or not you are a “betting man”, the PVA Fanalyzer provides a structured way for you to record your expectations for each game by predicting not only the score but also analyzing various statistics and providing your commentary to publish before the game. This is your opportunity to be just like those guys on the pregame show who take the same wild guesses about the game that you have. You may not be on TV, but your opinions are just as valid as deserve to be heard! The PVA Fanalyzer lets you get in-depth into your analysis and break it down like a pro. This is where fans really can prove what they know!

After the game, the PVA Fanalyzer will compare your predictions against the actual results of the game. This will allow you and other Fanagers to see how well you did at predicting the action, and how well the team met your expectations. You can also see how well your predictions match up against other fans in our week- and season-long leaderboards! You will be impressed at how accurate you become in predicting your teams in just a few short weeks!

You can also organize a “Fanalyzer Huddle” with friends to create a new way to enjoy the season. Unlike fantasy football, where you have to follow players from all over the league, Fanteractive and the Fanalyzer Huddles allow you to concentrate on the teams and players you know best!
