Watford started out well. They were aggressive and you can say they outplayed Chelsea through the first 15-20 minutes. But they settled back and tried to play a defensive-minded game with a significant commitment of players to the defense, they just evaporated on offense. Chelsea took over from there. The second half was very flat from the Hornets with little fanfare while Chelsea significantly controlled possession and got most of the chances. Foster was busy in net and forced to make a number of difficult saves to earn the Player of the Match.

offense started out well, but died off late in first half and was almost non-existent in the second half.

Preventing Scoring Opportunities
Conceding/Defending Set Pieces
Committed 6-8 players back, but Chelsea was still able to move the ball well. The defense seemed lifeless at times.
