Overall Game Assessment
NYCFC was off to a very slow start in this one. They looked terrible in the first half overall. They picked up in the second half and probably were the better team in that segment, but they needed a lucky break on a set piece to tie this one up. NYC looked out of sorts defensively for much of the game, but Castellanos was enough on offense to keep NYC threatening throughout with his counterattacks.

Castallanos wastheir offense! He was a catalyst for them on the counterattack. They still can;t seem to find a rhythm this season without Villa

Defense Comments
First half defense was terrible, but they corrected it and looked better in the second half. Sean Johnson did not have a great game and his gaffe on a playback was absolutely embarassing.
