Overall Game Assessment
This was a very good game. Both teams had their chances, but France capitalized. Courtois kept Belgium in the game and Hazard played a solid all around game for Belgium. They kept trying to serve in balls from the outside, but could not get the positioning to get a good shot on goal.

They were clearly looking to score in the air and had a handful of good opportunities. But, they were just not enough of a threat. Lukaku never really was in the flow of the game.

Defense Comments
Courtois had to bale them out on a few, but the defense overall was solid. France has some great skill players to make a good defense spin on their heels!

Coaching Comments
Mertens was a good sub and helped them on the right wing. I can see Belgium wanted to score early and put up the early pressure. When they were turned away, you knew it was going to be a long game for them.
