My Player of the Game
Raheem Blackshear

Game Notes
Blackshear gets the MVP be default - someone has to get it! He did go for 19 carries and 102 yards, but it was a very unimpressive 100+ yard game. Rutgers looked bad, really bad! This was a game Rutgers fans circled as a winnable game - not that they would - but no one expected a shellacking either! To a Kansas team that has 4 wins in the last 4 seasons! Pooka Williams ate them alive!

They were able to run when they could hold onto the ball. But, the offense dug way too big of a hole to climb out of!

Comments on Coaching
Rutgers was out-prepared in this one. They were doomed. Sitkowski's early INTs and the Rutgers fumbles killed them. But that comes down to game prep. The coaches should be blamed for the decision to start a true freshman over a senior to start the season. Sitkowski can become a good one for them, but in a throw-away season you should build up his confidence, not destroy it with back to back shellackings to Ohio State and Kansas (Kansas!!!!!)_
