You have to give the MVP to Tua in this one. He was a huge spark to the Tide offense and made the key plays they really needed to be successful. He did not have the perfect game - as evidenced by an inexperienced move in taking a big sack on the play before - but he made the plays when they were really needed and won this game for the Tide. The Alabama defense was really solid throughout the game and can easily get the MVP as a whole

Not a huge Saban fan, but you have to give him credit here. It is not easy to switch QBs in a national championship game and completely overhaul how you play in the 2nd half, but he made that gutsy call and it paid off. Then again, Hurts played so bad in the first half that it might have been an easy decision for him.

A tail of 2 halves. First half was awful! Hurts was lost and the offense had nothing. 2nd half was not always pretty, but they opened it up a lot and aired it out. It completely changed the context of the game.
Protection & Blocking
WRs came up big in what was expected to be an RB contest! Ridley was quiet until the end, but Alabama's receivers made the big plays when they needed them.

How can you miss 2 FGs inside of 45 yards in a national championship game? The potential game winner should have been a chip shot - inside of 40 yards - for a major Power 5 program kicker.
Play of the Game
The game winning throw was beautiful! Tua looked off the safety and the Georgia defense just got caught. It was a nice throw and a wide open catch. Great ending to the game!
Devonta Smith (6)
True freshman but made the biggest catch of the game!
Jalen Hurts (2)
He was just not good in the 1st half as a passer. He did have 47 yards as a runner, so not all bad. He was a solid controbutor from the sidelines though and he was there when Saban needed him late.
Najee Harris (22)
Run game was just not big enough of a factor in this one.
Tua Tagovailoa (13)
Wow, welcome to the national stage! He did as well as you can hope in that situation and saved the Tide. He was a gunslinger and flashed his arm, but could also make plays as a runner. The only thing that prevents an A+ here are the mental mistakes, but solid all around!
