Overall Game Analysis
This might have been Rutgers' most complete game of the season! They continue to play strong defense and rebound well in their own end, but they really picked up their game on the offensive side shooting just about 50%, 46% from 3-point range, and a whopping 92% from the free throw line! All of those are tremendous marks for a team that is not a good percentage shooting team - particularly on FTs and 3s! You were waiting for their let down in what was a very close game for most of it, but that never came. Instead, it was Illinois that ran out of gas. Great win for RU and hopefully solidifies their first NCAA bid in almost 30 years.
