Overall Game Analysis
This was a highly anticipated game for Rutgers fans - particularly after a tough football season! The Scarlet Knights did not have a perfect game - far from it actually - but you saw a lot of good things from the team. They played 10 different players to show some depth. They had diversified scoring. They still know how to play defense for at least 35 minutes of a game... Then there was the poor free throw shooting, 3-21 on three pointers, and almost letting the game slip away at the end. A good early season warm up, but it almost became a disaster.

Not much of a factor in this game.
Geo Baker

Poor shooting night, but he is still an emotional leader. Contributed in different ways today - ball movement 7 defensive rebounds, etc. Needs to find his shot soon!
Mamadou Doucoure (11)

Good to have him back but not a lot of minutes and a quiet game.
Montez Mathis (23)

Not a great shooting night, but seemed to make the big play when they really needed it on the night.
Paul Mulcahy (4)
SG
Not a bad start for Rutgers top recruit this season. He will get better as he gets it going. But a lot to like in his game.
Ron Harper (24)

They need him to be a scorer and he struggled today.

Comments On Offense
Outside shooting was rough today. Free throws might have even been worse. But some good ball movement and they got points from a lot of players on the day. They will get better, but this set a low bar for improvement.

Probably needed to calm them down at the end as Bryant was making a run. But, they made it through...
