Overall Game Analysis
The Lakers got off to a slow start, but once they got getting out in transition about midway through the second quarter they started to get in a groove. They showed great fight by coming back after being down by 18 in the second. A big part of this came from uncharacteristic strong 3 point shooting, as they shot 22/41 from 3. In fact, with the exception of Brandon Ingram, every Laker who shot the ball more than one time posted a FG% over 47%. Yet, the Lakers almost blew it by going 7/18 from the free throw line and giving the Celtics open 3s all game long.

Comments On Offense
They had a strong game offensive, but it still seems talent based and not system based. Given the shooting abilities of the Lakers role players, this kind of shooting performance is not sustainable. It worked for them tonight though

Comments On Defense
All game long Boston would drive and LA's defenders would collapse inside and Boston would kick it out for a wide open three. When they got defensive rebounds, however, they pushed the pace and created transition opportunities right at the rim. Additionally, they had some questionable matchup decisions on the defensive end

Comments on Coaching
As I said above, I don't think Luke Walton is giving this team the best chance to succeed.
