The Ravens continue to plug along, as always, never too far removed from the playoff race. It does appear as if the Ravens window has closed, although the team is in pretty good shape at certain key positions. A strong draft, or two, and a few key free agent signings and the team could be right back in the hunt for the AFC North.
Primary Needs: WR, RB, OLB
Secondary Needs: OT, S, CB
Free Agency Strategy: Resigning Brandon Williams seems like an obvious decision. Vlad Ducasse is a nice veteran 6th lineman if he can be had at a reasonable price. The Ravens could choose to sign a few other players of their own but otherwise will likely have no choice but to wait until late in the offseason to pick up cheaper veteran free agents.
Draft Strategy: At 16 overall the Ravens have to be thinking receiver. Marcus Davis and Mike WIlliams are the two best and each could be available. It is also possible that the team could look to trade down a few spots for an extra mid round selection and target a player like John Ross or JuJu Smith-Schuster. They could also look at taking either Tim Williams, Derek Barnett, or Carl Lawson in the first round. Should Dalvin Cook or Leonard Fournette fall to #16 the Ravens would at least have to consider either player. The Ravens look to be primed for a few trade downs this year, if they can find the partners.
