Season Report Card

Offense
Position
Quarterbacks
C+
Daniel Jones is the future of the Giants and is the franchise QB. He has his issues with fumbling and inexplicable interceptions.
Running Backs
C-
Wayne Gallman and Devonte Freeman were fine but nothing spectacular
Protection & Blocking
C
There were struggles early on but Andrew Thomas and Shane Lemieux who were both rookies in 2020 did improve in the ladder stages of the season.
Receiving
C
There were inconsistencies and there was no clear cut NO. 1 option. Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, and Golden Tate are a solid receiving core and nothing else.

Skills Analysis Notes
Saquon Barkley's injury took a lot of big plays out of the Giants' offense forcing them to be a more balanced and conservative offense.
Defense
Position
Defensive Line
B
Leonard Willimas had a great year and is proving the compensation that was given up by the Giants was justifiable.
Linebackers
B
Blake Martinez accumulated a lot of tackles and Tae Crowder a seventh-round pick got some valuable reps. Their rookie class consisted of a few LB's but it provided good depth and allowed the defense to rotate a lot of players off the bench.
Defensive Backs
B-
Jabrill Peppers and Logan Ryan provided a spark on the back end of the defense which was good to see. Darnay Holmes also had some good moments but was rather inconsistent at times.

Joe Judge was a special teams coach and he had some creative plays throughout the season such as fake punts and field goals.

Overall Coaching / School Analysis
Overall Joe Judge had his team ready to play and they were very disciplined. I would say he generated a lot of good play from his players even though many of them lacked the requisite experience. He coached a good season and his players fought hard, I expect to see him improve next season and maybe surprise some people.

Analysis
Overall all they were close to making the playoffs but came short. They must control their circumstances. They did fight hard throughout the entirety of the season and their young team is starting to show growth. With Saquon Barkley back next year and more experience throughout the team and head coaches expect an 8-8 season maybe even 9-7.
