Carson Wentz is a top ten NFL QB with a big arm and good decision making. However, Wentz's durability is an issue and neither Nate Sudley nor Jalen Hurts are proven quality backups as of right now.
Miles Sanders has tons of potential in both the receiving and rushing games. Sanders is the only RB with big-play potential but he should be prolific if he can stay healthy for a full season.
Protection & Blocking
Last season the Eagles offensive line was undeniably elite. However, with Jason Peters getting older and Andre Dillard coming off an underwhelming season regression should be expected.
The good news for Philly is that Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz are both top ten TEs. Their stellar route running and the ability to separate from defenders should help Wentz. However, the Eagles' WR position is incredibly unreliable. DeSean Jackson has been habitually injured for a while, and Alshon Jeffery has completely regressed since 2018. Jalen Reagor has potential but also has huge concerns about his hands.
Big Play Ability
Red Zone Success
Skills Analysis Notes
The Eagles went all-in on drafting speedy wideouts during the 2020 draft. WRs Quez Watkins and Jalen Reagor will be deadly deep threats along with DeSean Jackson next season. When it comes to production, the Eagles have a rising star at QB, elite TEs, a stud RB and a talented OL. However, their weakness at wide receiver is glaring and caused them to be one of the most inconsistent offenses last season. Therefore, fans should exercise some caution before going all-in on this year's Philly offense.
For the past five years, GM Howie Roseman has gone all in on making sure the DL is elite. Fletcher Cox, Derek Barnett, and Brandon Graham are a three-headed monster. Aside from those three ballers, Malik Jackson, Vinny Curry and Josh Sweat provide Philly with tons of depth.
With Nigel Bradham and Kamu Grugier-Hill gone, T.J. Edwards is the only decent LB on the roster.
This is the best and deepest secondary Philadelphia has had since their Super Bowl run. Darius Slay and Nickell Robey-Coleman are two CBs who should improve coverage on the outside and in the slot. Malcolm Jenkins' departure will be felt in the locker room, especially with Jalen Mills seeking to replace him after moving to safety.

Stopping The Big Play
Skills Analysis Notes
The Eagles defense is led by their daunting defensive line which terrorizes OL's on a regular basis. Heading into next season, they should improve at limiting passing yardage with Slay and Robey-Coleman. However, their inability to create turnovers or prevent big plays last season could creep up on the team next season.
Special Teams and Coaching
Overall Unit Analysis
Jake Elliot is an efficient kicker who converts clutch FGs.
Overall Coaching / School Analysis
Overall, Doug Pederson is a solid head coach. Despite Carson Wentz suffering season-ending injuries for three straight seasons, Pederson has been able to rally his teams to keep fighting late in the season. In fact, he created multiple different systems and schemes to mesh with Nick Foles and Carson Wentz. He has also done a great job with decision making, especially on late downs. However, the one issue with Pederson for the past few seasons is that the Eagles have been extremely inconsistent offensively, especially during the early part of the season. Moreover, he has struggled to develop young wide receivers such as J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, which at the very least suggests that his rookies need better preparation during training camp.
Overall Team Grade
Overall, this team is deep at most positions on both sides of the field. Defensively, the DL and CB positions are extremely deep heading into the 2020 season and will be headlined by Flecther Cox and Darius Slay. Moreover, Wentz has shown the ability to carry his team to the playoffs and will be assisted by Ertz, Goebert, and Sanders. However, with an aging offensive line and a shaky wideout position, the Eagles have some issues to resolve if they seek to win the division in back to back seasons.
Last season, did the team meet your expectations?
Met My Expections
While the Eagles have improved their team from last season, Dallas heads into the 2020 season with an explosive offense. Zeke Elliot is a beast and Dak Prescott will be slicing up secondaries with wideouts Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and rookie CeeDee Lamb. Moreover, Dallas matches up well with Philadelphia at both the defensive and offensive line positions. Therefore, the Cowboys enter the season as the presumptive NFC East champion with the Eagles slightly trailing them. Although anything can happen and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles clinch a wildcard spot, especially with Washington and the Giants still in the midst of deep rebuilds.
