Lack of receiving options with the release of Dez Bryant and the retirement of Jason Witten will cause more struggles in the passing game than the previous season. Running game will be elite but might have struggles because opposing defenses will put more players in the box due to the Dallas' lack of Receiving options.
Inconsistent. Some games the pass rush shows flashes of being elite and other games they look average.
Young core of linebackers that have potential but they will only preform well as a unit this season if Sean Lee stays healthy. He is the leader of not only the linebacker unit but also of that defense.
Very young and inexperienced secondary. Will give up big plays due to this.

Stopping the Run
Controlling Field Position
Stopping The Big Play
Skills Analysis Notes
The front seven has potential to be very good at stopping the run. The secondary is very suspect and will give up their fair share of big plays this year. The pass rush will shows signs of promise but will be inconsistent at times during the season.
Special Teams and Coaching
Overall Coaching / School Analysis
As Jason Garret has shown in the pass, he tends to be conservative with his play calling habits. Some games he won't feed the ball enough to his elite running back Ezekiel Elliot and other games he has Dak sit in the pocket most of the game while Dak is more effective rolling out of the pocket and using his legs to make plays. These consistent coaching errors during games are what will cause him to lose games for Dallas this season.
Overall Team Grade
Very one dimensional team on offense. A lot of inconsistencies on defense.
